How is WalgreensHealth.com different from Walgreens.com?
WalgreensHealth.com is your online source for Walgreens plan services and information. You should create a WalgreensHealth.com account if you are eligible for, or already a member of, one of the following services through your health plan:
- Walgreens Health Initiatives pharmacy benefit program
- Walgreens mail service plan (formerly Walgreens Mail Service)
- Walgreens specialty pharmacy fulfillment, which includes medications taken orally (by mouth), intravenously (IV) or self-injected
Can I manage prescriptions for my family through this account?
- If you are a Walgreens Health Initiatives member and you are the primary cardholder for your plan, you can view your young children's pharmacy records and alerts and order refills for them through your account. You can also become the pharmacy administrator for your spouse and your adolescent children, with their permission; this will allow you to view all family records and submit refills through your account.
- Walgreens mail service users can also refill prescriptions for family members; simply enter the prescription number to submit a refill request.
If I previously had a MyWHI.com or WalgreensMail.com account, do I need to register again?
No. WalgreensHealth.com contains all your existing information and records. Simply sign in with your existing user ID and password. Your prescription and plan information will display on your new home page.
Can you help me if I speak another language?
Yes, interpreters are available to provide assistance in 150 different languages. Call us and tell the representative the language you speak. We can also print prescription label instructions in English or Spanish.
Can I speak to a pharmacist directly?
Call us to take advantage of one-on-one pharmacist consultations or receive answers. Walgreens pharmacists are available 24 hours a day. Note that many plans have dedicated phone numbers for their members. Sign in to your account if you would like to find the number that is designated for your plan.
Can I refill any Walgreens prescription through the website?
If your prescription is eligible for refill, you can place your order online—whether the prescription was filled at your local Walgreens, through our mail service or through our specialty pharmacy program. Refill-eligible prescriptions are displayed in your active prescriptions list.
Can my prescriber call in my prescription to mail service?
No. Walgreens mail service cannot accept prescriptions by phone. We require the original prescription in writing. If your prescriber has the technology to electronically prescribe medications (e-prescribe), request that yours be submitted this way or complete the prescriber fax form, which can be downloaded from your account (and was also included with your member enrollment packet). By law, faxed and e-prescribed prescriptions are only valid if sent from a prescriber's office.
I have a retail prescription. Can I transfer it to my Walgreens mail plan?
If Walgreens filled your retail prescription, then contact our mail service pharmacy to request a transfer to Walgreens mail service. A Walgreens representative will start the transfer process and you will be informed when your order has been processed.
For prescriptions filled by non-Walgreens retail pharmacies:
Ask your prescriber to write a new prescription to replace each prescription you want filled. You may request your prescriber e-prescribe or fax it to the mail service pharmacy number listed on the fax form (PDF). By law, faxed and e-prescribed prescriptions are valid if sent from a prescriber's office.
What if I need an emergency supply of my mail plan prescription?
If you have lost or forgotten your medication, request an emergency supply at your nearest Walgreens store. If no Walgreens stores are nearby, a new prescription can be mailed overnight to you at your expense. If you have no refills remaining, we will call your prescriber for a new prescription.
